เมื่อวันที่ 5 ธันวาคม 2561 นายเชิดเกียรติ อัตถากร เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี ได้เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองในโอกาสวันคล้ายวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษาพระบาทสมเด็จพระปรมินทรมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดช บรมนาถบพิตร วันชาติ และวันพ่อแห่งชาติของไทย ที่กรุงกัมปาลา ซึ่งจัดโดยนาง Barbara Mulwana กงสุลกิตติมศักดิ์ไทยประจำยูกันดา โดยภายในงานมีนาย Okello Oryem Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (International Affairs) (เทียบเท่ารัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ) เข้าร่วมในฐานะแขกเกียรติยศ และมีผู้แทนระดับสูงจากภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนยูกันดา คณะทูต ตลอดจนชาวไทยที่พำนักอยู่ในยูกันดาเข้าร่วมงานด้วย
On 5 December 2018, His Excellency Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Ambassador-designate of Thailand to the Republic of Uganda, with residence in Nairobi, attended the reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand in Kampala, hosted by Mrs. Barbara Mulwana, Honorary Consul of Thailand to Uganda. Honourable Okello Oryem, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (International Affairs) of Uganda also joined the event as Guest of Honour. High-level representatives from Uganda’s public and private sectors as well as the Thai community residing in Uganda also attended the reception.
